Meet My Staff

MaDonna Awotwi is Sen.Teplitz’s Constituent Relations Representative. A life long resident of Harrisburg, MaDonna is a proud graduate of Harrisburg High School. Most recently she was accepted into Dusquene University’s School of Leadership & Professional Advancement and will be pursuing her Graduate Degree in Professional Communications. She is also a 2014 graduate of the MLK Leadership Development Institute through which she learned valuable lessons about leadership and enacting change in her community. When she isn’t doing community outreach or volunteering with the women’s ministry at her church, MaDonna likes to spend her time writing and performing poetry at various places around central PA. MaDonna lives in midtown Harrisburg with her son and the mini poodle she borrows from her mom on the weekends, Cody.

Tim Collins is Sen. Teplitz’s Chief of Staff. A Pittsburgh native, Timothy earned a bachelor’s degree in history from Saint Vincent College, and master’s degree in public policy and management from the H. John Heinz III School at Carnegie Mellon University. He previously worked for the Department of the Auditor General, where he most recently served as assistant director of the Bureau of School Audits. Timothy resides in Hummelstown, Dauphin County, with his wife and son. An avid fan of Pittsburgh’s sports teams, he loves baseball and rooting for the Pirates.


Jonathan Hendrickson is Sen. Teplitz’s Executive Director of the Senate Local Government Committee. A graduate of Penn State University, Jonathan previously worked at the Department of Community & Economic Development and the Governor’s Center for Local Government Services. At the Center, he focused on finding innovative ways to identify and overcome municipal financial distress, while applying his knowledge by serving as a successful Act 47 Coordinator. Jonathan and his wife are active members of their Harrisburg neighborhood, and they love kayaking the Susquehanna River, attending Senators baseball games, and taking advantage of the wealth of culture the Capital Region has to offer.


Brian Humphrey is the Director of Sen. Teplitz’s Harrisburg district office. A Harrisburg High School graduate and U.S. Army veteran, Brian has dedicated decades of public service to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the City of Harrisburg. He is an active member of the community, having served most recently as the vice president of the Summit Terrace Neighborhood Association and as a board member of the Catholic Workers House. Brian and his wife reside in the Allison Hill neighborhood of Harrisburg.


Scott McLean is the Policy Director for Sen. Teplitz. He previously worked for the Pennsylvania Senate Democratic Communications & Issue Development Office. A graduate of University of Central Florida, Scott earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Relations. He has worked for U.S. Senator Bill Nelson of Florida, the U.S. Department of State and a variety of foreign embassies in Washington D.C. Scott resides in downtown Harrisburg and in January ran in the Walt Disney World Half Marathon. He is an avid fan of the TV show “Mystery Science Theater 3000” and can frequently be found taking in a movie at Harrisburg’s Midtown Cinema.

Tammy Miller is the Director of Sen. Teplitz’s Halifax district office. A Susquehanna High School graduate, Tammy previously worked at local law firms in the private sector and, most recently, in the Office of Special Investigations at the Pennsylvania Department of the Auditor General. She resides in Halifax, Dauphin County, and enjoys gardening in the backyard and kayaking.

Elizabeth Rementer is Sen. Teplitz’s Deputy Chief of Staff and Press Secretary. A Philadelphia native, Elizabeth earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Penn State University. She previously worked as a reporter at the Northeast Times newspaper in Philadelphia and as a writer in the Pennsylvania Senate Democratic Communications Office in Harrisburg. Elizabeth resides with her husband in West Hanover Township, Dauphin County, where they spend most of their free time keeping up with their twin sons.

Meagan Thorpe is the Director of Sen. Teplitz’s Perry County district office. Meagan earned a bachelor’s degree in public administration from Shippensburg University. She previously worked for a Pennsylvania state representative as a constituent outreach specialist. A lifelong resident of Duncannon, Perry County, Meagan is an avid hunter, but also enjoys camping and reading.


Emily Vislocky is Sen. Teplitz’s executive secretary. A Perry County native and graduate of Harrisburg Area Community College, Emily has spent much of her career as a paralegal and legal secretary, most recently at the Perry County District Attorney’s Office. Emily also directs the CCD religious education program at St. Bernadette Church in Duncannon, and often volunteers for organizations that advocate for victims’ rights. Emily lives in Duncannon with her children and enjoys volunteering, supporting her children’s activities, and baking.


Kellie VonStein is Sen. Teplitz’s Director of Constituent Outreach.  A graduate of Shippensburg University, Kellie earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and a master’s degree in public administration.  She previously served as Sen. Teplitz’s Policy Director and as a Senior Policy Analyst in the Department of the Auditor General.  Kellie was one of the founding members of the Pennsylvania Culture Change Coalition and currently serves on its board.  Kellie resides in Carlisle with her husband and three children.  She spends most of her free time at her sons’ sporting events and her daughter’s dance and cheerleading events.
